Pickpocketers

Pickpockets are common in every big city. When travelling the biggest trouble you can have is to lose money or passport. Remember that police might be very polite to you but things lost has 1 in a million chance to be returned. So be extra careful and being protective is always better.
As I travel many cities and would like to share some of my and my friends experience how people actually do  pick pocketing.

Be careful
1- Small groups of people  standing at less crowded places, like underground metro, narrow street or around  late night cafes.
2- Never keep all eggs in same basket, keep your passport and money separate, carry just a small money according to daily need and keep rest in the locker.
3- Always stand with the wall or lean to the side of bus or metro, keep one side always safe.
4- If you feel unsafe, move fast but do not panic, don't let any one enough time to take you as easy prey.
5- Do not take out your wallet openly and letting people know the place of your wallet and estimate of money or card you have.

Some experience with me and friends
1- My friend and I were going to enter a metro in Frankfurt, the door was just going to close when two people just rushed inside and pushed us if it is so crowded, but it wasn't that crowded and one guy just went to the feet of my friend as if he lost his watch, my friend bend down to help and the other guy tried to take out his wallet from his back pocket. Both of them left the metro just before the door close. Later we realized how professionally they planned everything but luckily the back pocket was longer then normal and the guy was just  able to open the button but couldn't pick the wallet.

2-Fake hand: The man was holding a coat in hand which was a fake hand and the other hand he used to pick my friend wallet, so avoid people who are carrying some fabric like coat or jersey.

3- young group girls talking to each other and making you feel they don't care about you and suddenly squeezing you inside and took the wallet of a friend.

4- Hookers are end of famous street like La Rambla in Barcelona, comes to hug/kiss you and picks you wallet and I heard they are so professional that they even put the wallet back and removing the money.

5- My friend caught an old lady on escalator trying to steal his wallet,

6-  Some group of people surround you on a busy walking street and open your backpack and take camera or any other thing they can reach,
Advice: Over friendly behavior from stranger should always make you extra conscious.Dont let people come very near to you that you cant feel your wallet or passport.

BE SAFE & TRAVEL
